Haut-Saint-Maurice has hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails along with many welcoming relay stations. The region is a strategic crossroads between the Lac-Saint-Jean, Abitibi and central Mauricie regions. Snowmobile trail maps are available at the Fédération des clubs de motoneigistes du Québec (Québec federation of snowmobile clubs). A map of snowmobile trails in the Mauricie region can also be obtained from Tourisme Mauricie.
When travelling in the forest, be sure to bring along extra gasoline.
