Hydroelectric plants

Two hydroelectric plants built in the 1950s are located in the La Croche sector; both are easily accessible thanks to paved roads. The Beaumont plant is located at the end of the road of the same name; the Trench plant is situated at the westernmost boundary of the La Croche ZEC. Both are approximately 30 minutes from La Tuque. Though neither plant offers tours, the beauty of the drive and the surroundings makes the trip worthwhile.
