Take Route 155 North. Turn at milepost 150; continue for 26 km (16 mi.) to reach one of Québec’s most picturesque villages.

Toponymy :

“According to surveyor Joseph Bouchette, Lac-Édouard is named after a trapper from Batiscan. According to another surveyor, J. P. Mullarkey, the trapper was Édouard Jeannotte, who left his first name to the lake and his surname to the Rivière Jeannotte, the southwestern arm of the Batiscan, which drains from Lac Édouard.”

Description:

From a tourism standpoint, the municipality is characterized by Lac Édouard, which extends for a distance of 27 km (17 mi.). The area features a number of outfitters, controlled harvesting zones (ZECs), nature preserves, 26 km (16 mi.) of nature trails for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and hiking, and 12 picnic areas.

A magnificent lake dotted with islands and peninsulas, its fine sand beaches, heron nesting site and many cottages make it an exceptional destination.


  
Les sentiers d'A.D.E.L.E : trails

Discover 18 trails, running between 0.5 km (0.3 mi.) and 2.5 km (1.5 mi.) in length, created by the municipality of Lac-Édouard's ecological development association.


    

Parc Écotouristique de Lac-Édouard

This ecotourism park is a superb site bordering Lac Édouard and the Rivière Batiscan. It offers a timely resting point for canoeists and a favourite spot for swimming enthusiasts in the summer. A place where natural riches abound, it’s the perfect site for true lovers of the great outdoors.

The municipal rink and locker room are open every day and every evening in season. Whether it's to skate with family or friends or to enjoy a friendly game of hockey, you are welcome here!
